Can They Have It? — Terms of Service

Agreement

By using the Can They Have It? iOS app or its online services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. The service is owned and operated by McKittrick LLC, doing business as McKittrick Studios.

The service

The app provides general food and medication reference information and tools for recording owner-entered pet information. Unknown or missing evidence is not a safety clearance. We do not provide veterinary services, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care. Saving a medication reference does not establish a prescribed regimen.

App purchases and feature availability

Can They Have It? Pro is a one-time, non-renewing purchase processed by Apple, with the product and localized price shown by the App Store before confirmation. An earlier Remove Ads purchase includes Pro. Plus subscriptions are no longer offered; an existing Plus subscription renews through Apple until you cancel it in your Apple subscription settings, and while it is active it also unlocks Pro. Restoring purchases requires the Apple Account that owns the eligible purchase.

Creating caregiver invitations is not available in the current version. Do not purchase Pro in reliance on caregiver sharing or use the app as an emergency-care channel.

This tool provides general informational guidance only and is NOT veterinary advice. Always consult a licensed veterinarian before feeding your pet anything you are unsure about. We make no guarantee of accuracy and are not liable for any harm to any animal.

If you believe an animal has eaten something dangerous, contact a licensed veterinarian or an animal poison-control service immediately. Do not delay care because of information from this service.

Automated and third-party information

Reference content may rely on automated generation and third-party data, including product ingredient lists from Open Food Facts and Open Pet Food Facts. This information can be wrong, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate for a particular animal, species, breed, age, weight, health condition, preparation method, or quantity. Third-party services operate under their own terms and policies, and we do not guarantee their availability or accuracy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse, disrupt, scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt unauthorized access to the service; submit unlawful or harmful material; or use the service to violate another party’s rights. You are responsible for how you use any information the service provides.

Intellectual property and links

The service’s original design, software, branding, and content belong to McKittrick LLC or its licensors. We may link to or reference third-party material that remains the property of its respective owner. We do not host or control linked services and are not responsible for them.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that it will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, secure, or suitable for any animal.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, McKittrick LLC and its owners, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for harm to an animal or for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the service.

Children, changes, and contact

This service is not directed to children under 13. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and date at this address. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
